Well, that was a whirlwind.

As you've noticed, this blog hasn't been updated since June 1. It's not for lack of trying, but following our trip to the missions up north we still didn't have computer access - or, at times, power - nearly everywhere we visited, be it the brothers' residence or the tea estates of Srimongal. I've done my best to keep track of the journey on my laptop, and I should be able to upload those postings when I return Stateside, but until then, you'll have to settle for the briefest of summaries.

By the numbers:

missions visited: 7 (Biroidakuni, Mariamnagor, Jalchatra, Pirgacha, Nagari, Bhadun, Srimongal)
hours spent on the road: 22
face-sized spiders seen: 3
snake bite treatments filmed: 1
cobras killed in our room: 1
mongooses seen: 4
people who got sick from food or water: 3 (myself included)
gigabytes of footage: 650

So many stories to describe, as you can imagine. I'll write more tomorrow, now that we're back in the city and have daily access to Internet. Until then...
